What is the objective of the CSU U8 Travel Program?
The CSU U8 Travel Program will provide opportunities for young aspiring players to receive high level technical and tactical training while getting their first taste of travel soccer.
How long will this program last?
The program will begin January 2019 and will continue through the beginning of May.
Are players able to participate in other sports?
Players can absolutely be involved in other sports. We understand it is important for young players to be involved in more than just one activity or sport.
When and where will practices take place?
Indoor training sessions will take place in the Montgomery School gymnasium located in Chester Springs, PA. Outdoor spring practices will occur at Fellowship Fields located in Chester Springs, PA or on the turf surface at Downingtown East HS.
Indoor trainings will take place on Tuesday evenings in the Mongtomery School. The indoor schedule will run from January 15 through February 26, 2019.
Outdoor spring practice will occur on Tuesday and Friday evenings at Fellowship Fields. The outdoor schedule will run from March 5 through May 2019.
What will the competition schedule look like?
The second session each week will primarily consist of a scrimmage within the squad or against the U9 CSU boys and will allow the coaching staff to give feedback to players during play regarding positional concepts and tactical principles.
Teams will also participate in 1 tournament towards the end of the program. This competition will be based locally and will allow players to both further learn the rules of the game and challenge themselves against quality opposition.
Who is eligible to participate in this program?
All players born in 2011 or 2012 are eligible to participate.
What is the cost of the CSU U8 Travel Program?
The cost for the program will be $295 with an additional $75 for the Nike uniform kit.
