As a typical athlete does, Matt loves all of his sports. Though participation in many of them was vital at a young age, talent and passion for soccer drove him to the City Islanders academy at age 12. From there, he played for Super Nova F.C. while also playing with EPA ODP for several consecutive years, one of which Matt was a part of the starting 11 that won the regional championship against Maryland in 2010. Unfortunately, Matt suffered injury that kept him from traveling to Costa Rica to represent ODP Region 1. He ended his youth soccer career with PA Classics Academy.

Beyond youth soccer, Matt chose to return to basics and play club ball at Shippensburg University, where only a love for the beautiful game was required. He has taken a new interest in sharing lifelong soccer experience, knowledge, and passion with today’s youth through coaching and training. He is an advocate for developing lightning footwork, and bringing personality to the game of soccer. While keeping it simple, he also believes individuality and creativity are assets in keeping the game fun for a lifetime.
